Gastronomy

Tenerife is a culinary paradise offering a wide range of gastronomic experiences. Discover local flavors and enjoy a unique gourmet adventure during your vacation in our apartments. Typical Canarian dishes are an essential part of any visit. Enjoy "papas Canarias" – small potatoes cooked in sea water and served with delicious mojos sauces. Paella, although originally from Valencia, is also very popular here and is often prepared with fresh seafood straight from the Atlantic. Don't forget to try the local wine and traditional Canarian rum, which are the perfect accompaniment to your meal. Local markets offer fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood directly from local farmers and fishermen. Supermarkets in these areas offer a wide range of products to satisfy every taste. And since all our apartments are equipped with well-furnished kitchens, you can cook and enjoy your favorite foods and feel right at home. However, restaurants in Tenerife will satisfy all taste buds. You will find a varied selection of dishes – from traditional Canarian cuisine to Italian, French, Japanese and other international dishes, including Slovak and Czech specialties. Within walking distance of our apartments, you will find a number of restaurants offering great food at reasonable prices. They offer menus starting at €5, and you can enjoy a wide range of cuisines from around the world. For those with a sweet tooth, there is "bienmesabe" – a delicious dessert made from almonds, honey, and lemon that is definitely worth trying. If you like to experiment, try "gofio," a traditional Canarian dish made from roasted grains, which is added to soups, sauces, and desserts. Don't forget to treat yourself to the traditional Canarian drink "barraquito," which is coffee and dessert in one and a great way to end any meal. Alcohol lovers will enjoy a wide selection of local and imported beers and wines from various countries, and especially local Canarian rum, which is also the basis for many popular cocktails. Prices in shops start at 20 cents for a third of a liter of beer, in restaurants they range between €1 and €2, and in more upscale establishments they can reach €4 or more. A bottle of wine in a shop costs from €3, while in restaurants a glass of wine is usually more expensive than a bottle of beer. Rum can be bought from €5 per bottle and rum cocktails cost from €6.
